The Ohio Division of Wildlife has released a Small Trees and Shrubs of Ohio Field Guide.

It covers 57 of the small tree, shrub, and bramble species you are likely to encounter across Ohio.

Found in forest and wetland edges, early successional forests, and mature forest understories, these species provide key ecosystem functions that support wildlife and native habitats.

A link to access the Field Guide can be found here.
