Fatal Crash in Marion County Claims Life of Michigan Driver

A Michigan woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred late Monday morning in Marion County.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Tracy A. Christian, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, drove onto State Route 309 from a stop sign on Prospect Upper Sandusky Road, and her vehicle was struck by an eastbound pickup being operated by 34-year old Michael T. Reed, of Marion.

Christian was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she was pronounced dead.

Reed and his passengers, 33-year-old Kimberly J. Neidhart and a 12-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Neidhart and the 12-year-old were both transported to Marion General Hospital, and the juvenile was then transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

Christian was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
