
A house on State Route 67, west of Kenton, was destroyed by a fire Tuesday.
According to information from Richland Township Fire Chief Jason Johns, firefighters were dispatched to 7345 State Route 67 near Jumbo at around 9:20 Tuesday morning.
The structure was fully involved with flames when firefighters arrived, and the two occupants were outside, and there were no injuries.
The fire is believed to have been started by an electrical issue, however the final determination has not been made at this time.
Fire departments from Kenton, Roundhead, McGuffey, Alger, Waynesfield, West Minster, Huntsville, Russells Point and Bellefontaine provided mutual assistance.
67, between County Road 75 and Township Road 85, was closed for several hours, and firefighters were on the scene until well into the afternoon.
