Hardin County Junior and Senior Fair board members and local and state elected officials conducted a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday afternoon for a new livestock building on the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
It was held on the ground currently housing the poultry tent.
Fair board President Jake McFadden said the new Multipurpose Livestock Facility is becoming a reality thanks to the hard work of fair board members and local partners in the community.

McFadden also thanked local sponsors Hensel Ready Mix and Stillwater Metal.
He added that if anyone is interested in donating, visit hardincountyfair.org for more information.
Construction on the facility will begin at the conclusion of the 2026 fair this Sunday, September 13 .
