
The annual Hardin County Freedom Fest 4th of July Parade will take place on Friday, July 4th in Kenton.
Parade lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library. Judging will follow at 9:00 a.m., with awards announced at 9:15 a.m. The parade steps off at 9:30 a.m.
Awards will be presented in several categories, including Best Group, Best Royalty Float, Most Patriotic, Best Theme, Best Golf Cart, Best Youth Group, and Best Overall. Organizers are inviting families, clubs, organizations, scouts, 4-H groups, and others to participate in the celebration.
Later that evening, the county’s fireworks display will light up the sky at 10:00 p.m. Parking for the fireworks will be available at the Hardin County Fairgrounds and Home Run Memorial Ball Park on OH-292.
