Hardin County Grand Jury Indicts Dunkirk Man on 48 Sex Crime Charges

A 29-year-old Dunkirk man has been indicted on multiple counts involving sexual offenses.

According to documents filed in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, the Grand Jury returned a 48 count indictment against Carlos Rivera-Alejandro.

He is charged with 20 counts of rape, 20 counts of sexual battery, 7 counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of importuning.

The incidents allegedly occurred starting in late October 2025 and continued until earlier this month.

The victim has since turned 15 years of age.

Rivera-Alejandro is being held in the Multi-County Correctional Center in Marion pending an appearance in court.
