Hardin Northern History Brigade hosted its 9th annual Living History Day on Tuesday.
Living historians from across the state guided elementary students through the past with demonstrations and presentations covering several different eras.
The students explored the early days of Ohio history as the Hardin County Historical Museum discussed artifacts and local history.
The Hancock County Park District taught students about gardening herbs, and they heard about what life was like as a fur trader.
They also had a blast as they experienced a demonstration of a Civil War cannon and an 1812 signal gun.
