Jenera Man Killed, Ada Man Injured in Early Morning Hancock County Crash

A Jenera man was killed, and an Ada man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at just before 6 this morning on Lincoln Highway at County Road 15 in Hancock County.

According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Chad Shepler was driving west on Lincoln Highway, and a vehicle being operated by 57-year-old Gregory Miron was  northbound on State Route 15.

Miron drove from a stop sign, and his car struck Shepler’s car on the driver’s side door.

Both vehicles traveled off the northwest side of the roadway and came to rest in a field.   

Shepler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miron was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Impairment is not a factor in this crash, which remains under investigation.
