Kenton Elks Lodge Celebrates National Competition Success

Kenton Elks Lodge #157 was awarded second place during the Tuesday morning session of the National Ritual Contest in Chicago.

Their final score was 94.9314.

Brick, New Jersey Lodge #2151 was the winner this year.

In addition, Sue Buroker won fourth place in the flag presentation competition.

On Monday’s general assembly meeting of the Grand Lodge, the winners of multiple ritual awards were announced.

Kenton was well represented among the award recipients, including the following individuals:

Kent Kelly – All American Ritual Candidate

Amanda Frazier – All American Inner Guard

Sue Buroker – All American Chaplain

Dylan Menard – All American Lecturing Knight

Kristin Grimshaw – All American Loyal Knight

Stacey Hamilton-Davis – All American Leading Knight

Derryck Menard – Robert Grafton Award

Stacey Hamilton-Davis – Rush Lamotte Holland Award

Dylan Menard – William A King Award and FIRST OF HIS NAME, PROTECTOR OF THE REALM, AND RIDER OF DRAGONS

Chad Spencer had the highest score at Exalted Ruler, but is ineligible to win an All American since he competed in this chair previously.

The team is now looking forward to competing next year in Denver.
