While summer break means a pause in regular rehearsals, several members of the Kenton High School Band are continuing to sharpen their musical talents through special performance opportunities and camps.
Tate Ketcham, a percussionist, participated in the Buckeye Boys State Band under the direction of Jeff Jordan.
Cameron Fox, who plays tenor and baritone saxophone, attended the Bowling Green State University Jazz Camp for the fifth consecutive year.
Meanwhile, percussionist Trevor Roesner took part in the Ohio Northern University Summer Music Camp, where he performed with the Jazz Band, Rock Band, Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble.
The Kenton City Schools Music Department praised the students for their dedication and commitment to music both inside and outside the classroom.
