For the first time in nearly 60 years, the Kenton High School Concert Band performed at the State Large Group Contest at Findlay High School this past Friday night.
Although they didn’t come home with a Superior rating, it took a superior effort to reach the moment.
The kids sacrificed a lot to be in Band and earning a spot to perform at Ohio’s top level of concert band adjudicated events is just one example of how the kids continue to strive for excellence, not just musically, but personally.
Band members hit the ground running today to prepare for their Spring Concert on May 8, starting at 7pm at the Kenton Middle School.
They are also preparing for Graduation, the Wildcat Prowl, and Memorial Day events as well.
