The City of Kenton, Rescue Grove Chapel Committee, Hardin County Armory, and the Kenton Lions Club is planning a special and historical addition to the annual Memorial Day Parade on May 26.

They will be honoring the area’s history as the home of the nation’s first Medal of Honor recipient, high-ranking officers and all fallen Ohio soldiers that served from the Civil War era to present, who have either been buried or held in repose at Grove Cemetery or final services held in Grove Chapel from 1895 to present day.

They will also be honoring current active-duty servicemen and servicewomen in the community by inviting all Veterans to lead the parade from the Hardin County Armory to Grove Cemetery.

Immediately following the parade, the Rescue Grove Chapel committee and its special guests will have a family fun event at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

Moore Than Just BBQ food truck will be there- along with games, bounce houses and more.

More details will be released in the coming weeks.
