The Kenton Police Department is kicked off a Rock Hunt for kids 17 and under over the weekend.

Each week, they will be hiding two special blue rocks around town, which means there will be two lucky winners every week.

To play, find a rock and snap a photo of where it was found, and take the photo and rock to the Kenton Police Department to get a token for a small ice cream cone from the Dairy Queen.

The department thanked Yankee’s Dairy Queen for donating the tokens and supporting the fun summer activity.

They announced earlier this morning that one of the rocks has already been found. They congratulated Brooklyn who was the first to find one of the hidden rocks this week and stopped by to claim her DQ token from Officer Carter.

But the fun isn’t over yet…there’s still ONE more rock out there waiting to be found.

Grab your friends, bring your phone, and start the hunt.

Be sure to take a picture of where you find it and bring it to the Police Department to claim your free cone, courtesy of Yankee’s Dairy Queen.
