A Lima woman was indicted last week by a Hardin County Grand Jury on charges of murder, involuntary manslaughter, strangulation, and felonious assault.

64-year-old Donna Jo Miller was arrested on the charges Friday night in connection to the death of Paula Dirmeyer.

According to a release from Ada Police Chief Alec Cooper, Dirmeyer reported that she was assaulted inside the village of Ada on November 24, 2025.

Three days later, she was found dead in her rural Allen County home.

Miller’s arrest came following the Ada Police Department investigation.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Wednesday morning (April 22) in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
