(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel yesterday reminded Ohioans that there is still time for Ohio schools to sign up for the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge, the 30-day program beginning August 31, 2026.

“We want every student to discover what they can accomplish by setting goals and building positive, healthy habits,” said Lt. Governor Tressel. “There is still time to join the statewide movement, and we hope parents, family members, neighbors, and friends will encourage their schools to get involved.”

Open to grades 3-8, the challenge helps students take ownership of their health by setting goals and building lifelong habits around fitness, nutrition, and sleep while living with an attitude of gratitude. The flexible program fits easily into existing school schedules or can be completed entirely at home, with grade specific-workbooks provided at no cost for each student.

For a school to participate, the building principal or a district official must complete the registration form. Interested parties should contact their school and encourage them to register by signing up at TeamTressel.Ohio.gov by August 7th.
