Man Shot During Armed Robbery Sunday Afternoon in Lima
On Sunday, 10-12-2025, around 1:00 PM, Lima PD officers were dispatched to the area of Wayne St. / Collet St, Lima, in reference to shots being fired.
A short time later, a 24-year-old male subject was located in the area, and he was suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
During the course of the initial investigation, it was discovered the shooting occurred during a robbery.
Javeon Whisenton, a 20-year-old male subject from Lima, was identified as a suspect and he was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Whisenton is currently being held at the Allen County Jail for Suspicion of Aggravated Robbery.
