No Injuries Reported After Pole Barn Fire Near Kenton

A pole barn was damaged by a fire that occurred Monday evening in the 12,000 block of State Route 67 west of Kenton.

According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, an occupant of the residence heard an explosion and looked out and saw smoke coming from the unattached structure.

When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was visible, and upon making entry, they found flames in a corner of the building.

The fire was extinguished and the doors were opened for ventilation, but the extent of damage was not listed on the report.

Firefighters were on the scene for around an hour, and there were no injuries.
