ODNR’s Ryan Kennedy Featured on Public Eye This Weekend

Once again, Hardin County hunters will get a jump start on deer hunting season.

Hardin County wildlife officer Ryan Kennedy, from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife,  tells us when the season will start and why it starts early, “Saturday marks the start of Archery Season for deer because we are in the Disease Surveillance Area due to Chronic Wasting Disease, so on Saturday, September 12, we begin.”

The DSA also includes all of Allen, Marion, and Wyandot Counties and Madison and Van Buren Townships in Hancock, Bucyrus, Dallas, Holmes and Tod Townships in Crawford County, Marlboro, Troy, and Oxford in Delaware County,  Clairbourne and Jackson Townships in Union, and Westfield Township in Morrow County.
