
A passenger on an Amish buggy was killed and two others were seriously injured after the buggy was struck by a vehicle at just after 8:00 this past Saturday morning on State Route 235 in Logan County.
According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the buggy was being operated by 21-year-old Daniel Wagner Jr. south on 235 when it was struck from behind by a vehicle being driven by 47-year-old Kelly Hoffman of Lewistown.
All of the occupants were ejected from the buggy.
48-year-old Daniel Wagner was killed in the crash, 10-year-old Enos Wagner was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital with serious injuries, and Wagner Jr. was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Hoffman was not injured.
She was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.
The horse was also killed in the collision.
