The Riverdale High School Quiz Bowl teams wrapped up the inaugural Hancock-Hardin-Logan (HHL) League with an all-day, 16-team tournament on Saturday. Both Varsity and JV squads competed in the same bracket, with the Varsity team claiming 3rd place and the JV team finishing 7th.

Their strong performances earned the Falcons invitations to the NAQT State, NAQT National, and NAQT Small School National tournaments.

In regular league play, the Falcons also had a successful season within their own divisions. The Varsity team finished 3rd, while the JV team placed 2nd.

Several players earned individual recognition: Nick Bash was the top JV league scorer, averaging 48.5 points per game; Lily Shuster received Varsity All-League Honorable Mention with 26.8 points per game; and Khloe Bash earned Varsity All-League First Team honors as the league’s third-highest scorer, averaging 54.3 points per game.

The Falcons’ season highlighted both team success and standout individual performances, setting the stage for an exciting performance at NAQT tournaments.
