Roundhead Man Sentenced to Prison in Federal Child Pornography Case
A rural Roundhead man was sentenced this week in U.S. District Court in Toledo on a charge involving child pornography.
According to court documents, Mark Butterman was committed to the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons for 9 years and five months.
Upon release, he will be placed on supervised release for 15 years, with numerous conditions.
He was also ordered to pay $3000 restitution to each of the six victims listed, for a total of $18,000.
After sentencing, Butterman was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
He was 59 at the time that he was indicted on the charge in May 2025 following an investigation conducted by the FBI and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
