A rural Kenton man was sentenced Wednesday in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on one count of endangering children and one count of public indecency.

In rejecting a joint sentencing recommendation for community control, Judge Steve Christopher sentenced 56-year-old Rickie Lee Stephens to a total of 36 months in prison.

He was indicted on 13 counts of public indecency and one count each of attempted gross sexual imposition, compelling prostitution and importuning in June of 2025.

Stephens ended up pleading guilty to an amended count of endangering children and one count of public indecency in December.
