The History Brigade at Hardin Northern joined with local community members to brave the wind and the rain to decorate the graves of local veterans Thursday at the Dunkirk Cemetery.
School officials note that it is always a fitting and moving end to the school year to pay respects to those who have served our nation in uniform.
Also braving the elements this week, were members of Pack 121 and Troop 121 St John’s Evangelical Church, who worked through the rain with other community groups to place flags on veterans graves ahead of the Memorial Day Holiday.
The Scouts were at Grove Cemetery Wednesday and then were back out Thursday evening to complete Hale, Ridgeway, Mount Victory and Mt Pleasant Cemeteries.
