
A Logan County teenager died in a crash that occurred at around 11:35 Sunday night in Champaign County.
According to a release from the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Patrol. 18-year-old Jackson Scott, of Quincy, lost control of his vehicle after he swerved to avoid hitting an animal while traveling north on State Route 235.
The car went off the road and struck a tree.
Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle was flown from the scene to Miami Valley Hospital.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, and the crash remains under investigation.
