A narcotics investigation conducted by the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit resulted in the execution of two search warrants and the seizure of a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine on Monday.

According to authorities, the first search was conducted at a residence on State Highway 294 in Upper Sandusky at the residence of Jeremy D. Clark and Kacy J. Swan. Investigators recovered several firearms and suspected methamphetamine. Reports from that search will be forwarded to the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s Office for review of potential felony charges, including possession of methamphetamine, having weapons while under disability, and tampering with evidence.

A second search warrant was executed at a residence on South Vance Street in Carey at the residence of Alex and Michael Naeyaert. Detectives seized a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills, a handgun, currency, drug paraphernalia, scales, baggies, and other items associated with drug trafficking. Possible felony charges include trafficking in methamphetamine, aggravated possession of drugs, and having weapons while under disability.
In total, investigators seized approximately 155 grams, or about one-half pound, of suspected methamphetamine. Additional suspected narcotics were also recovered and will be sent for laboratory analysis.
