Local Revolving Loan Fund Assistance Provided to Support Local Business

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance and the Hardin County Commissioners announced Tuesday the approval of the first loan through the Hardin County Local Revolving Loan Fund Program.

The recipient of the assistance is Kitchen’s Supermarket.

The locally owned grocery store has plans to open in Kenton in the coming weeks.

Details about the store will be provided at a later date.

Support provided by the Local RLF will be used to purchase necessary equipment for the operation of the store.

The Local RLF was created to provide gap financing to businesses looking to locate or expand in Hardin County.

Funding for the program was provided by the Hardin County Commissioners, and the program will be administered by the Economic Development office at the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance and the Hardin County Commissioners announced today the approval of the first loan through the Hardin County Local Revolving Loan Fund Program (Local RLF).

The recipient of the Local RLF assistance is Kitchen’s Supermarket, LLC. A locally owned grocery store with plans to open in Kenton in the coming weeks. Details about the store will be provided at a later date. Support provided by the Local RLF will be used to purchase necessary equipment for the operation of the store.

The Local RLF was created to provide gap financing to businesses looking to locate or expand in Hardin County. Funding for the program was provided by the Hardin County Commissioners, and the program will be administered by the Economic Development office at the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.

Administration of the Local RLF is performed under the oversight of a Governing Board, which is made up of individuals with financial expertise, from the local business community, and from County government. Current members of the Local RLF Governing Board are Mat Jennings of Quest Federal Credit Union; Bret Baumeister of Middlefield Bank; Chris Jones of HSLC; Richard Walden of Sheldon Gas Company; Tim Striker, Hardin County Commissioner; Michael Bacon, Hardin County Auditor; and Holli Underwood of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.
