Marion County Sheriff’s Office Receives $5000 Grant for Project S.E.R.V.E

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a $5000 grant from the Marion Community Foundation Board of Directors.

The money is for Project S.E.R.V.E as part of the 2024-2025 Community Grants Program.

The Sheriff’s Office will use a portion of the money, combined with a donation from Pillar Credit Union, to get T-Shirts made to pass out to the children in the community free of charge.

You will find the Sheriff’s Office at multiple events this year, but the one that they will be passing out the most shirts is the “Basketball for Youth Tour,” which occurs in all of the Marion County Villages that have basketball hoops.

There will be dates, times and locations coming in the near future for all of the games on the schedule.
