The Hardin County Sheriff's Office announced the dates for the 2026 Citizens Sheriff's Academy. It will take place September 24 through November 5 from 6 until 8:30pm. Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance has released a Hardin County Energy Trail map. Information on numerous wind and solar farm projects can be found on the Alliance’s Facebook page. Directions to the projects are also included. A virtual map can be accessed as well.

The 175th Allen County Fair will kick off this Friday August 21. Gates will open at 7am, and the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4 Friday afternoon.
