3E Initiative to Host Career Day for Area Students

The 3E Initiative (Employed, Enlisted, Enrolled) continues its mission of helping students explore their future opportunities with an upcoming Career Day on September 30. Seventh and eighth-grade students from Ada, Kenton, Hardin Northern, and Upper Scioto Valley will join host school Ridgemont for a day of hands-on career exploration and conversations with professionals from across the region.

The Career Day is designed to introduce students to a variety of career fields, including opportunities they may not encounter in their everyday lives. Students will participate in interactive activities, ask questions, and learn directly from local professionals about what they do, what a typical day looks like, and the education or training needed to pursue their careers. Featured career areas include law enforcement, engineering, skilled trades, healthcare, and more.

The event is organized by Maddie Stotler of the Midwest Regional ESC and the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce & Business Alliance. Career exploration at the middle school level gives students an opportunity to learn about different pathways and begin thinking about the possibilities available to them as they plan for their future.
