Ada Exempted Village Schools announced its efforts to earn the Heart Safe School Designation through Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Over the past several months, the district has worked diligently to complete the Heart Safe School Program Checklist, which focuses on cardiac emergency preparedness, staff training, and establishing a practiced response plan.

The district conducted its final emergency drill on May 4, 2026, with a representative from Nationwide present. Following the drill, Ada Schools was recognized with a banner and certificate for successfully meeting the requirements of the Project ADAM Heart Safe School Designation.

This designation highlights Ada Schools’ commitment to providing a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The district credits this achievement to the dedication and training of its teachers and staff, who have become CPR certified and are prepared to respond in the event of a cardiac emergency.
