The Elwood Motorsports Team made their final trip of 2026 to the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati this past weekend with a Championship within their grasp.
On Saturday, driver Alan Elwood set fast time in the morning practice then backed that up with a qualifying run that would put him on the pole.
The Pre-final would be more of the same as Elwood would take the checkered flag in first.
Elwood led most of the final, but he would come up just short of the win and finished in second, but his points total for the day secured him the 2026 MCC LO206 Masters track championship.
Elwood has been racing at MCC for three seasons and now has two track championships and a runner up.
Elwood’s day Sunday was cut short after he crashed into the outside wall.
