Alger Public Library to Reduce Operating Hours in 2026

Alger Public Library announced that operating hours will be reduced in 2026.

Beginning Monday, January 5, the new hours will be Monday through Thursday, 11:00am to-6:00pm; Friday, 11:00am to 5:00pm; and closed on Saturday and Sunday.

This change is in response to reduced state revenues resulting from the recent budget cuts.

Library officials stated that it saddens them to make this decision, and they hope that it is a temporary measure.

They apologize for the inconvenience to their patrons.
