The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a free virtual education program on Monday August 30.
The program is called “Sandwich Generation: Taking Care of Aging Parents while Raising Children.”
It will include topics such as developing a plan of care, learning how to tap into community resources, and dealing with stress.
In Ohio, more than one in three dementia caregivers are in the sandwich generation, according to new figures from the Alzheimer’s Association.
As students return back to school, the stress on those caregivers will increase as they juggle their kids’ schedules and their parents’ needs.
The program begins at 6 p.m. on August 30.
To register, call 800-272-3900.
