Mental Health & Recovery Services Board for Logan & Champaign Co.

The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Logan and Champaign Counties is hosting a LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, or ASIST, workshop on April 2 and 3.

ASIST is a free two-day, interactive suicide first-aid workshop that teaches you how to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and how to work with them to create a safety plan that supports their immediate safety.

You will learn how to talk openly and confidently about suicide, develop safety plans to keep someone safe-for-now, and build practical intervention skills you can use anywhere.

ASIST is designed for anyone age 16 and over, who are community members, educators, healthcare professionals, first responders, faith leaders, and more.

No prior training is required.
