Auglaize County Crash Claims Life of 19-Year-Old

A 19-year-old Deshler, Ohio resident was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday evening at the intersection of State Route 65 and Santa Fe New Knoxville Road in Auglaize County.

According to a release from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Victoria Schweitzer was driving north on 65 when a vehicle, being operated by 26-year-old Benjamin Pruyn, of Marysville, ran a stop sign and struck her car.

Schweitzer was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger in her vehicle, 18-year-old Brian Boggs, of Jackson Center, was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Pruyn and a passenger in his vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
