Benjamin Logan Middle School and Benjamin Logan High School are inviting cancer survivors and fighters to take part in two special events recognizing courage, strength, hope, and the impact cancer has on individuals and families throughout the Raider community.

Benjamin Logan Middle School will host its Rally for a Cure Honor Walk on Thursday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. This year’s BLMS theme is “Rock and Roll: Rally for a Cure.”  Cancer survivors and fighters are invited to attend as students, staff and guests walk in honor and support of those affected by cancer. Guests should report to the Benjamin Logan Middle School office for check-in upon arrival. Donuts and juice will be served. The rain date for the BLMS Honor Walk is Monday, May 11.

Benjamin Logan High School will hold its Raider Relay on Friday, May 8. This year’s theme is, “I do not like cancer here or there. I do not like cancer anywhere.” The event will raise money for the Logan County Cancer Society, with National Honor Society students planning a full day of activities to support the cause.

As part of Raider Relay, BLHS cordially invites anyone who is a cancer survivor or fighter to participate in a special Survivors’ Lap celebrating life, strength, and hope. Survivors and fighters should check in at the Benjamin Logan High School office at 9:15 a.m., with the lap planned for 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested in participating may contact the high school office at 937-592-1666 for additional information.

These events are intended to recognize and celebrate cancer survivors, fighters and their loved ones while showing support for those whose lives have been touched by cancer. Benjamin Logan Schools encourages families and community members to help share this invitation with any cancer survivors or fighters who may wish to participate.
