As of 3/13/2024 the intersection at Main Street and Franklin Street is closed due to the construction on Main Street. Main Street is closed from Columbus Street to Ohio Street. Franklin Street is closed between Main Street and Detroit Street.
This means there is no parking on the courthouse square on Main Street (east side of courthouse) and Franklin Street (south side of courthouse).
After a discussion with Mayor Webb and Chief Musser, voters with handicap placards can go around the barricades at the intersection of Detroit Street and Franklin Street and do a U-Turn to park in the handicap spaces on the south side of the courthouse. This is the only way to access the south side of the courthouse.
If you need to vote a curbside ballot you can follow the same directions as the handicap voters. Please remember substitute H.B. 458 states that “a voter with a disability who is physically unable to enter a polling place must be permitted to vote in their vehicle or at the door of the polling place with the assistance of a bipartisan team of election officials. This is the only circumstance where curbside voting is permitted”.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Board of Elections at 419-674-2211.
