Brown Announces $7.4 Million in Emergency Funding for Ohio

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced $7,389,541 in federal emergency funding to the state of Ohio for reimbursement for eligible expenses.

The funds will help repair and reconstruct highways and roads on federal land in various sites across Ohio that suffered damages from natural disasters earlier this year.

“It’s important that we improve the safety and integrity of our infrastructure after natural disasters so we can prevent further damage and costly repairs down the line,” Brown said. “This federal funding will assist in repairing the damage to our roads and highways and improving our state’s infrastructure.”

The Emergency Relief (ER) funding is administered by the DOT’s Federal Highway Administration to address roads and highways on federal lands that were damaged by natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and earthquakes.
