The City of Kenton has announced a possible city-wide water shut off this evening.

City crews will be repairing a water main break on Decatur Street starting at around 8 this (Monday July 12) evening.

Once the site is open, the repair may be able to be made while the system is under pressure, but if water is required to be turned off, it will be a citywide shutdown.

If water is turned off, it is estimated that water pressure would be restored by around 8 Tuesday morning.

At that time, a boil water advisory would be in effect until further notice as a precaution.
