Attorneys for a former Kenton school teacher have filed a motion seeking acquittal or a new trial for their client.
Dustin R. Clapsaddle was found guilty on one count each of rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and kidnapping following a four day jury trial last month.
According to documents filed in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, defense attorneys Terry Hord and Rocky Ratliff is asking the court to set aside the verdict of the jury and enter judgement of acquittal or for a new trial for their client.
They claim that irregularities in the proceedings and other factors prevented their cilent from getting a fair trial.
A motion hearing on the matter has been set for Friday August 2.
