
A combine was destroyed by fire Tuesday evening in a field in Wyandot County’s Mifflin Township.
According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders were dispatched at around 7 to State Highway 293 just north of US 30 where the combine was fully engulfed in flames.
Nearby wheat and straw fields also caught fire.
Assisting the Wharton Volunteer Fire Department at the scene where fire departments from Jackson-Forest and Upper Sandusky and the Upper Sandusky EMS.
Firefighters were on the scene for around 2 and a half hours.
