Driver Cited After Texting-Related Crash in Wyandot County

Distracted driving led to a one vehicle crash this past Saturday afternoon in Wyandot County.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Nathaniel McMillan, of Upper Sandusky, told deputies that he was traveling north on Township Highway 122 and was driving at around 70 miles per hour while sending a text.

He drove off the left side of the road and was unable to regain control.

The car struck a telephone pole, continued through the ditch and struck a second telephone pole before coming to rest in a field.

McMillan was not injured.

He was cited for failure to control.
