Former Allen County Sheriff Pleads Guilty to Charges
The former sheriff of Allen County pleaded guilty to charges in federal court on Monday.
The Lima News reported that Sam Crish pleaded guilty to five counts in a federal indictment that was handed down in June of 2018.
The 56 year old Crish pleaded guilty to two counts of extortion, two counts of soliciting bribes and one count of making a false statement to investigators.
As part of the plea agreement, another count of soliciting bribes was dismissed.
He faces more that 12 years in prison when he is sentenced in September.
