The Hardin County Pioneers defended their title in the 2nd annual Hoopin’ it Up in Hardin County basketball game Sunday.
The Pioneers defeated the Sheriff’s Office in the game played at Hardin Northern.
The Sheriff’s Office team played hard, and it looked like for a moment they would take the win, but the Pioneers came back strong to secure the win for the second year in a row.
Sheriff Keith Everhart and Hardin Northern Superintendent Drew Cano also both took a pie to the face at the event, much to the excitement of the crowd.
Organizers thanked all of the volunteers who made the day possible. The game is an important fundraiser for the Hardin County Special Olympics Pioneers and their pep squad.
