
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team participated in police K9 training in Alpena, Michigan.
The annual training seminar took place from September 27 to today at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and is sponsored by the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers.
This premier North American event attracts hundreds of K9 teams from across the U.S. and Canada for intensive, hands-on training in various disciplines like tracking, narcotics detection, explosive detection, building search, and suspect apprehension.
The Hardin County team is comprised of Deputy Cody Winegardner and K-9 Oswald; Sgt. Austin Carey and K-9 Juno and Deputy Ryan Starner and K-9 Banjo.
