The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance shined its latest Member Spotlight on the Hardin County Armory.

The Hardin County Armory is the 2nd oldest and most unique Armory in Ohio with construction beginning in 1893. Built during the Victorian era, the Hardin County Armory resembles a castle.

Today, the facility is used as a historical venue hosting weddings and events. Upon entering the ballroom, your guest’s eyes will turn upward to the 17-foot-wide ornate chandelier. The building itself will be a conversation piece, with several wall areas showcasing exposed brick and a balcony surrounding the entire 5,600 square-foot ballroom. In addition, there are Bridal suites, a bar area and a caterer’s kitchen. It is no surprise that this unique building has become a popular wedding venue.

It was nearly demolished many years ago but was saved by a group of volunteers who formed a non-profit board to restore and oversee this wonderful venue. All proceeds from events go toward the continued upkeep and preservation of the historical building.
