Head-On Crash Claims Life of Ada Man in Hancock County

An Ada man was killed, and a Waterville, Ohio woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash that occurred Thursday morning on State Route 235 in Hancock County’s Orange Township.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office report, 30-year-old Gabriel Gratz was traveling north on 235 when he drove left of center.

His car struck a southbound vehicle being operated by 32-year-old Nicole Neely, of Waterville, Ohio.

Gratz was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

Neely was transported by Ada-Liberty EMS to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Marijuana is suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation.
