The intersection of Fifth & Main Streets in Marysville will be closed intermittently between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 5th.

According to information from the Marysville division of police, the closure is due to Honda smart intersection testing.

Parking will remain in place, but traffic will be restricted during those times.

The city of Marysville is working with the Ohio Department of Transportation and Honda to figure out exactly how to make intersections safer by making them smarter.

The town of 23,912 its first smart intersection late last year, which involves wireless communication systems, computer vision recognition systems, infrastructure control systems, and in-vehicle telematics and alert systems that are coordinated to create safer intersections.
