Kenton City Council to Meet This Evening

Kenton City Council will meet this evening, with two ordinances and a resolution on first reading, two ordinances will be on second reading, and an ordinance will be on third and final reading.

Prior to taking care of business, council will go into a closed session to discuss collective bargaining matters and pending police arbitration.

The 13th regular session will start at 7:00 this evening.

Prior to that, the Finance Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m.

On that committee’s agenda in on-going discussion of how to increase city income for 2026.

Some of ways being discussed are a proposal for an increase in income tax, better collection methods for unpaid income tax, a temporary operating levy and a vacant building fee is under consideration.
