On Friday, January 30, Kenton City Schools advanced art students took part in a stained glass workshop led by Windknolls Stained Glass.
Students selected from a wide variety of precut glass colors and received hands-on instruction in wrapping each piece with foil tape and soldering the sections together. They learned techniques for creating smooth, even solder lines at each joint.

After cleaning their finished pieces, students could choose to apply a black patina to the solder, enhancing the vibrancy of the glass. The completed stained glass projects were stunning.

This educational opportunity was made possible through a grant from the Columbus Arts Council.
